Mexican Riviera

So I must confess we had a ton of fun on our vacation. We both took turns feeling nauseous as the boat rolled around, but it wasn’t too bad until the way home when it really started rocking. We went visited Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta.
We made some new friends, Stacey and Brandon, who were there on their honeymoon (CONGRATULATIONS!). They are from Texas and we really enjoyed getting to know them. I hope that we will be able to keep in touch as they are great people!
We had a “special” charter group on our boat. It was the French connection, a group of swingers.
It made for some interesting people watching.
I even got Jeremy to go to salsa and ballroom dance classes. This alone is an accomplishment because he won’t usually try. We did okay considering. Stacey and Brandon were able to totally trump us, but they had taken dance classes before their wedding, a clear unfair advantage.
The food was great and I think I ate enough desserts for the next year. I also learned that I love cold fruit soups so I need to learn how to make them. We had a picky old lady at our table, Denise (who was nicknamed Bernice), who sent something back every night. The rest of us at the table began to try and guess which course she would send back. I think half the time it was because she wanted more than one plate, but honestly the food was good.
This is the first time I’ve sailed on Royal Caribbean but I would recommend it. It was over way too soon, how fast 7 days can fly when you’re having fun!

Twilight

So I must confess that I barely finished the 4th book. I loved it! This weekend we also went to see the movie. I liked it. I must confess that the actors weren’t quite what I had envisioned when I read it but I thought the acting was pretty close to the characters. What did everyone else think?

Terra’s Family Birthday Party

After Thanksgiving dinner we took Terra to see “Bolt”. It was a cute movie and both the kids loved it. Then we got to her favorite point of all, opening presents.

Terra’s Birthday Party

Terra’s 7th birthday fell on thanksgiving this year so we had her “Hannah Montana” birthday party last Tuesday. She had a lot of fun. I however, learned that 5 girls can make the noise of about 20. Terra really wanted a sleepover, I am very glad that it wasn’t feasible. I think we are going to wait a few years to have a sleepover.

Busy

I know that I've been terrible at posting this month. It has been crazy. We were gone for a week and then I've been insanely busy trying to catch up since we've been back. I promise that I'll get all of this caught up soon.

Vacation Count Down…

So we have 5 more days until we leave on our week long vacation with no small children and sunshine!!! Jeremy has been giving me daily count downs for nearly two weeks now (he isn’t excited or anything). It has been almost 2 years since Jeremy and I have gone on vacation without the kids and this is the longest amount of time we have left them. I freak out at the thought of only 5 more days; I have so much that I need to have done before we leave. It will be here before I know it. I just wish I didn’t have to take homework with me but I can’t get everything!

The witches

So many people have recommended that I take the kids to see the witches at Gardner Village that I thought I better do it before Halloween. The kids had a good time!

All Dressed Up!

Last night I took the kids to the Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving point aka dinosaur museum. They had a family activity where there were Halloween crafts, “the bat cave”, and the dinosaurs were even wearing costumes. They received a candy surprise for counting all of the dinosaurs in costume. They also got to wear their costumes. Wyatte had to choose one of his 3 costumes for this year, and the winner for the night was Evil Stitch!

The Saturday before Halloween @ Northwood

So we of course worked at Northwood Saturday. The Saturday before Halloween is a crazy day! Wyatte had a lot of fun dressing up in different costumes throughout the day. His favorite was the Darth Vader, it was way too big and grandma had to hem a cape for it to work but he loved it.

Corn Maze

Saturday night Jeremy and I went on a group date to the corn maze in North Logan. Jeremiah & his date, Anthony & Charley, and Jeremy & I found our way through the haunted corn maze. We spent about 40 minutes on the first part of the maze. Every path seemed to lead back to the look out. We even asked for directions and got it on the 3rd try. After our corn maze adventure we watch Shutter. It was a fun night.

Pumpkin Walk

Friday night we took Wyatte to the pumkin walk. He had a lot of fun. I haven't gone in years and was actually really impressed with a lot of it.

Life's challenges

Most people know that I and my family are always on the go. Many people have asked me how I can juggle so many things into my life. I work full time as a controller (usually 43-46 hours a week). I usually help my parents at Northwood on Saturdays (yes we drive up to Logan nearly every weekend). I have 2 small children, most of the time, except every other weekend when Terra goes to her mom’s. I still manage to do most of the housework, all of the laundry and cooking, and am over half way through my master’s degree. I don’t say this to be applauded in anyway. Most of the time I don’t mind my life being so busy, I rarely have idle time, and I like it.

I’m usually a keep-to-myself person, but I’ve had so many things spiraling through my mind lately that I’m starting to wonder if I’m going crazy. I’m not sure what has been causing it. It could be solely based on the high stress levels or I may have tried to overdo it taking 3 classes this semester (which was my choice, I’m ready to be done with school). Jeremy says it is because of my hormones (I took my IUD out in June and am not used to the hormones changes).

For some of you that don’t know I’m trying to get pregnant. I didn’t realize how emotional it would be to “try” and conceive. My pregnancy with Wyatte was an accident (the best accident ever though). I guess I assumed that once we were actually “trying” it would come very easily. I may be a drama queen about the whole thing; I do understand that these things take time. Despite the fact that I fundamentally understand that things happen in their own time I still find myself crying at the news of someone else being pregnant. It may be the “controller” coming out in me but it is terrible. Every time that I start my period I cry. My hormones must be going crazy!

In some ways I wonder why I’m suddenly so eager for another. I’ve never been baby hungry. I mean it was this spring that we decided that we wanted another child. Wyatte has been such a blessing and a challenge. I wonder what it would be like to actually hold your baby after they are born, not having to wait a couple of hours to see your baby and wait another 2 months before they come home. What it would be like to have a baby that just sits up, crawls, walks, or jumps by themselves without practicing hundreds of times with us and with the help of physical therapists. Wyatte has come so far and I am so proud of him. I would imagine how other parents could look at these as mere “milestones” rather than huge “accomplishments”.

I’m not sure what possessed me to feel like posting my feeling out on the internet but I’m hoping that getting it out there will help me get a better grasp on the situation.

Dinosour museum

So last Monday I took the day off to spend some time with Wyatte. We had a packed in the dinosour museum, a movie, and the discovery museum. It was a great day, something we should do more often. Here are some pictures of our fun!

2. Mention the rules on your blog. 3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours. 4. Tag 6 other bloggers by linking them.

1. Jeremy will tell my strangest unspectacular quirk is that I have to have my silverware placed correctly. I have to have them match and I have to have them placed in their correct spot.

2. I need the dishes done immediately. I hate leaving dishes in the sink. I have to wash then right when I’m done.

3. I can’t handle fidgeting. Jeremy’s constant tapping, clicking, or random noises and movements drive me crazy!!!!!

4. I love learning!

5. I can never turn down a piece of chocolate cake.

6. I really believe that Disneyland is the happiest place on earth.
