Unspectacular quirks

Rules: 1. Link the person who tagged you – Hayley http://www.mikeandhayleycurtis.blogspot.com/
2. Mention the rules on your blog. 3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours. 4. Tag 6 other bloggers by linking them.

1. Jeremy will tell my strangest unspectacular quirk is that I have to have my silverware placed correctly. I have to have them match and I have to have them placed in their correct spot.

2. I need the dishes done immediately. I hate leaving dishes in the sink. I have to wash then right when I’m done.

3. I can’t handle fidgeting. Jeremy’s constant tapping, clicking, or random noises and movements drive me crazy!!!!!

4. I love learning!

5. I can never turn down a piece of chocolate cake.

6. I really believe that Disneyland is the happiest place on earth.

Underwear

I have to say that I’m so proud of Wyatte. We have been trying to potty train him for over a year. Now that he is 4 I’ve been wondering if he would get it before he starts kindergarten next year. We have been trying to put him in underwear in the evenings until he has an accident. The pull- ups are no help. All of a sudden it clicked.

Wyatte has wore underwear since Saturday morning. He even wore them to daycare today without an accident. Yes that is 72 hours without any accidents!!! Maybe we finally got it (we’ll keep our fingers crossed).

Olive Garden Toscana Soup

So I was given this recipe and I had to try it out. I love this soup. Well I used the Kale and I used a mild sausage instead of the hot (I didn’t think the kids would eat it otherwise). It really wasn’t hard to make. Here is the recipe if you want to try it out.

Olive Garden Toscana Soup
3/4 cup onions, diced 1/8 inch
1 slice bacon, 1/4−inch diced
1 1/4 teaspoon garlic cloves, minced
1 ounce chicken bouillon
1 quart water
2 medium potatoes, cut in half length−wise,
then cut in 1/4−inch slices
2 cups cavallo greens (kale can be substituted),
cut in half, then sliced into 1/16−inch strips
1 1/2 cups sausage link − spicy, pre−cooked, cut in half
length−wise, then cut at an angle into 1/2−inch slices
3/4 cup heavy whipping cream

Place sausage link onto sheet pan and bake in 300 degree oven for
15 to 20 minutes or until done.
Place onions and bacon into 3 to 4 quart saucepan and cook onions
over medium heat until the onions are almost clear. Add garlic and
cook for 1 minute.
Add chicken bouillon, water and potatoes, bring to a simmer for 15 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients then simmer for 5 more minutes and serve.
